Who tunes their DD'S low

well im in the process of designing and building my box for 4 2512a's and the design that vitveet came up with for me is 8cuft 124sq in of port tuned to 34 hz subs up port foward powerd by 2 power acoustik 3000's oh btw this will be going in a 98 ext cab chevy silverado non wall my question is will is what will i gain/lose by tuning to 34 compared to 40 hz

I had a 3512 a while back that I tuned to 36. I have known many people that will tune to 35. It just makes for a little flatter respose that is less boomy, but rerally decent sq on what I have heard, especially the 35 series. I have my 9512 tuned to 40 with a lot of port area, and while it gets real loud, its not as crisp as I would like

use areoports, you'll be able to use half of that recc. port area and save some space.

i tuned my dd9515 to 30hz this weekend, it sucked ***. whatever you do, tune high or low, aim for 18-20 square inches per cubic foot.

I've built several boxes for DD's & HD's and 35Hz is great for daily. Will still get plenty loud, but sounds much better. I tried mine at 38Hz and they were a little boomy for me as I don't listen to rap. 35Hz did the trick...

Mine is in 5ish cuft at 41hz Built By JLFX 100sqin port.. It gets loud but daily on most music doesnt get low enough to the ear, I prolly should have done the interchangable port like he reccomended.. But at 41hz its Very Punchy.. those quick punches move some hair.. and on the high note in Jeezy's White Girl it will get some windshield flex action.. Its stupid loud on the higher bass, but not as satisfying as my friend's 4 dd 512's at 35ish(?) on lows.. I cant wait to get it metered.. I did a sweep a few days back that created a hell of a breeze with the door open.. very impressive from a single sub in a trunk car..

Im happy.. the sub has a kinda POP sound to it at times, and isnt terriffic on daily lows but at the same time it gets retarded loud on certain songs and tones.. im satisfied... and the box is absolutely beautiful IMO.. I couldnt have asked for better work
