When refering to the "biggest amps", it needs to be clear about how much RMS power, impedance and at what battery voltage they are tested and rated under.
Having enough battery power is always the key and most often, tests and reviews are not with an adequate power supply.
The current Hifonics GEN XX mono amps are under-rated RMS power at 13.8 volts and 1-Ohm.
The Dual Mono Blocks (XXColossus II & XX Maxximus) are rated at 13.8 volts and 2-Ohms bridged.
Much more at 17.5 volts and of course even more at lower impedances.
Hifonics is showing there new GEN XXV amps at CES.
The largest mono amp is XXV Sampson at 8000 watts, 13.8 volts and 1-Ohm.
They will produce a stupid amount of power at 17.5-18 volts and if you lower the impedance....look out!
It is of course strappable and maybe there will be a dual mono block version wich could mean 16000 watts at 13.8 volts and just 1-Ohm.
Can any one guess how much power at .35 reactive and 18 volts?
This does not mean we are the "biggest" or "most powerful" but just giving a little inside info.
Any way, it's always good to see people talking about there favorite amps and all opinions are fun to read.
