Ok, my friend is thinkin about either gettin 2 12" W6's OR 3 10" W3's....what would u guys choose??

The 3 10 w3s IMO. One they are not that worst than the w6s really a pretty similar subwoofer. Two of coruse it will be louder if set up right. And three I would get 3 12s instead and really do some damage. The w3s are a great woofer and if you are talking about the new w3s vrs w6s couldnt tell ya only heard the w3s and they are impressive 10 times better than the old w6s.

so you've heard the w3v2s, but not the w6v2s???

3 10W3v2 will sound different(not necessarily better or worse) than 2 12W6v2s if both are properly installed and powered, although I would just as soon do 4 10W3v2s. Also depends on the type of vehicle.
