Slug is the emcee of the group Atmosphere, El-P is the founder of Def Jux records and member of the groundbreaking underground hip-hop group Company Flow which dropped their "Funcrusher Plus" in 97. He has a few solo albums which are very dope as well and is a great producer, having produced for classics such as the cold vein and I Phantom.

Aesop Rock was on Def Jux as well.

I can't stand just about anything coming out these days. Though I must say, I am all over Childish Gambino's nuts. Love him. As far as other rap.... I'm big on old-school hip-hop: A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-one, Common, Phaycyde, Gang Starr; and some more modern stuff like Hieroglyphics, Jurassic 5, Dilated Peoples.
