I'm so tired of this kind of snobbery. "Oh no, millions of people like something! I can't like it now!" Why do you care if other people like an artist's music? You should be happy that the artist you support is supported by millions of other people.

Lol, you have obviously never listened to the radio where the song of the week is beaten in your forehead until you beg for the death of your once favorite artist. As much as I love underground artist, there is something deep in the back of my mind that wishes that they stay that way forever. I don't want every 16 year old "hipster" blaring my favorite tracks every ten minutes until death is the only option before insanity.

Actually before u talk sh1t even budden has said his label made him do that kind of music so it would attract all the rich white kids. After that album he got dropped from the label cause he wanted to do his own thing. Eminem ended up signing his label so he must not be too bad.

Yes, I've listened to the radio. As a part of my last job, the radio was actually the highlight of my day. I agree that listening to the same stupid songs over and over is annoying, and I also know the feeling when you've listened to a song so much that you absolutely hate it. The quick fix(and best preventative measure) is to either change the station or turn off the radio.

Your last sentence makes a bit of sense, but as you know, most of the teenagers that go from listening to Owl City to listening to one of your favorite artists, will eventually move on. If you hear a hipster blaring your favorite tracks, sing along(if that's possible?), roll up your windows and turn yours up, or drown them out with bass(if you have any). You don't have to go from "teenager likes my song" to "this is ruining my life". Stop caring what other people listen to and enjoy your music.

That's different, and I completely understand. Artists are often forced into music they're not comfortable with, and it's completely understandable to dislike the music for that fact. Disliking it just because it appeals to more people is different, and stupid(I'm not calling you stupid unless your reason is the second one).

If you said "I don't like the fact that the music in the first album didn't reflect the artist's values", or "I don't like the first album because I hate the way it sounds", then those are both very valid points. Hating the music JUST because other people like it is what I'm talking about.
