Digital Multimeter. I measures AC/DC volts comming out of a power source. You can get a cheap one for around $20 at WalMart.

Got one at Harbor Freight one time for like $4-5 dollars.(on sale) Not sure how good it was. I gave it away.

what do you mean by that? he is right that it will have overheating issues? or he does not know what he is talking about still?

well if your running your amp at close to full power its bound to heat up pretty quickly... unless you have a good ventilation system
