yeah for real, but the trucks just for spl....but it's got to have something to make it stand out!!i've built more than enough of my share of d-rides!!!
Hell Yeah!

Another Tennessee resident to the forum.

I would let those Dro's go really cheap. They are used but look descent. 400 with batteries

Not even close to hydraulics, fellas. The fluid in a hydraulic line can get up in the 1000+psi range... FAR higher than compressed air. Hence why you don't see too many air hoppers. PLUS, It's a ***** to pull a standing three with airbags...
Hydaulics ride better than air (when used with accumulators...), they are powered by STATIC fluid... meaning you don't LOSE the air everytime, and have to run a loud *** (and sometimes a large electrical strain on your car) compressor, Hydraulics have their own source of power, aside from your vehicles battery.

If push came to shove, hydraulics also sit lower when 'layed out' then MOST non-bodydropped trucks/cars. And 9 times out of ten, get higher.

So, how many of you actually HAVE air ride... much less installed it, or maintained it. They both have about the same maintainence...

DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, ONLY DO IT ONCE! Hah.

I have (an installed) airride on 2 trucks, and would take it over hydros anyday. Where did you get it rides better than bags? I had a 2 link setup with the bags on the 2 link, and my truck rode A LOT better than the juiced cars/trucks I have rode in. Maintainence? Hmm. Tell me who is dirtier when theres a leak, oh yeah, thats you with hydro fluid all over your face when Im juss listening for air. The only "maintainence" I ever had to do was replaced a couple lines that got holes worn though them. My boy on the other hand was always "maintaining" his hydros, and it seemed to be a little more expensive. Lines are more money, parts are more money, etc. Sure hydros hop higher and are a lot easier to get hopping and what not, but for non-hopping applications, bags FTW.

that is my 2link now:up2somet:

too bad it shall become a 4 someday. It really doesn't ride bad at all honestly.

yeah there was always something goin wrong with my buddy's dro's. lines or something always messing up. I dunno, maybe it was because he was a cheapass who only got 2nd hand bullshit all the time. I don't think i want dro's, but they are alot more fun when they work like they are supposed to.

Were you not pro-hydraulic 2 pages ago? As far as hydros getting lower than bags......your wrong. they BOTH can only lay your frame on the ground before being stopped.....cant get much lower than that.... and lockin up your ride is pointless. clear the tire and drive...not much reason for any higher IMO. Hydro's and air, both installed properly, ride JUST AS GOOD as EACH OTHER. There is no argument to that, everyone accepts it. It's not all that much of a pain to pull a standing 3 if you have (i believe it is) 3 port air-cans, and can be done with normal bags. Its mostly in the rear setup anyways, but it CAN be done with bags as I have seen it. What part of the air setup isnt "static" like hydros? I am guessing you mean static as there is no leveling out each side. For example...taking a hard turn would push air from the outside wheels, to the inside wheels....in this case...only a 4 valve setup is going to do that, an 8 valve setup is not going to do this.

Lamont was doing his weekly charge today. Didnt really need it, but he was topping them off, I think someone was buying them. Seems like he's never had a problem with his, hes gentle on them from what I have seen him driving, his buddy brad popped a coil, just from lifting the rear to hop, I am not sure what caused it, but I think the coil just snapped for some reason.

saywhat, by static he was referring to when you dump with bags, you lose air, and you have to rebuild. With hydros, it all just recycles. And a properally installed compressor in the right location can be quiet. And the added weight of 4-10 batteries isnt going to help gas milage at all, and is more of a saftey hazard.

care to share how to pull the front up in a truck? id love to pull mine up just a foot or so when it gets to that point.
there's a thousand ways to get a standing 3, but the easiest would be 2pumps to the rear w/tall clyinders, and a GOOD chainbridge....it helps to get rid of the leafs too.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
