O, its not mine, i wish. Just some truck that caught my eye a looong time ago

That truck belongs to Gil Doyal, from Albany, GA. He's a friend I went to school with. That truck has been through so many changes over the years... that's about the 4th paintjob, third set of wheels.

It's also got a completely hand made sheetmetal interior... tilt bed... Alpine stereo (sponsored...)

As far as that truck goes, it NEVER stays the same. He's had it for 7 years or so, and everytime it leaves the house, something is different on it. Look for a bigger motor very soon...

He also has a HUGE Avalanche on big wheels and HUGE tires. I'll sneak in some pictures in a minute.

That avalanche is P U S S Y... this is what my buddy works around at a gold mine in colorado... and it manages to be functional at it's enormous size which I doubt the av manages

Heres mine as it sits right now. lol. Hydraulics are off of it and the rear frame section is being cut off and rebuilt. Dont forget the truck has been sitting in a storage unit for 6 years until about a month ago. Its only got 78k miles on it.

Right now my plan is to get it back on the road... lol. Im having some issues with it not running right. Im sure its from sitting so long. I want to get that taken care of first.

Im finished up removing all the hydraulic mounts and now Im working on welding in new shock mounts and the bag brackets in the front. The rear frame will be removed and rebuilt with an independent rear suspension out of an RX7 T-II going in. I plan on running a 4g63 out of a turbo eclipse or talon mated up to the RX7 T-II ******.

After all that there will be body work done. Pulling out some dents, shaving the body, and possibly a body drop in the future.

My main goal is to fix the problems the hydraulics caused (pretty much done) and drive it for a while before I start doing to major work (motor swap and body work). Again on the hydraulic debate, the problems I had with this truck were due to the crappy and unprofessional installation that was done on it. The shop that did it (Speed Shop of Denver) is no longer in business and I can see why. I litterally took a crow bar and pryed the rear hydraulic mount off of the frame without any trouble. They welds didnt even penetrate the frame. They were basically glued on from my point of view.

Heres a pic of the passenger side not done yet with the drivers side sitting on 6" of block. The truck is sitting level. I still need another 1/2" of drop to lay frame with my 17s. Im working on it with the factory 14s on it so I dont damage my Denali wheels.

Heres the rear end waiting for its treatment. Surgery soon as long as it doesnt get too cold out here to work in the garage. If it does then it will have to wait until spring.

i miss my mazda //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i would drive it over any other car. I have a 2005 mustang I would trade straight out for that mazda truck if it were brand new again.
