who has the biggest????

OK, ok...

If you are going to impose some crazy rule like "the suspension actually has to be attached to the basket", well that's going to make things a little more difficult. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But that's OK.

Those action shots of the RE drivers above are impressive, but I think I have that beat - one-way even (heh heh heh) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

(now, you didn't say anything about 5000 watts of Crown power in a research lab being unfair! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)

A 12W7 at rest:

And out:

My digital camera istoo fast though - if I could take an blurred action shot like the RE pics, that would be something.

The W7's have just got a sick suspension though...

DUMAX Xsus (not even physical limits) was something like 46mm, whereas the 4-leg and 12-spoke basket subs literally can't reach excursions (due to hard bottom-out) beyond about 34mm, maybe squeeze a mm or two more by using a shallower cone, but there's trade offs there...

Bring on the pics of the Eclipse Ti's and GZ Pluto's!

Or the 13W7 for that matter... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Holy ****. That's friggin awesome. Well, i know when i've been beat. But i also paid a 1/4 of the price of that thing!!

BTW, is that prototype 8" or just a 8"A?

Wow, good eye!

That's a prototype 8A in the box down there...

The picture was taken before there was an 8A, that's Stephen Ponte's own 8A prototype in fact. It's sitting there because we were playing with that one too, that little guy even had some decent excursion.

But it's hard to compete with the W7 though, as far as excursion goes. :ready_to_

I tried, too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Someday we'll be able to afford the $10K per size it takes to do a mold for a custom basket.. but in the meantime, 33, 34mm is about it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I was looking at that badass 8" long excursion sub, thing looks killer.

My 'little' fella has a verified 37mm to it...

Gotta love that TI basket. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The GZ?

Of that old plutonium I had here? Yeah, I've got them here somewhere...

No idea if the plutonium design has ever been DUMAXed or not though... The monster I have is a completely different beast... Built for HT duty - flat down to 13hz - nothin but a monster. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Flat down to 13hz? I want details!!

Oh, and I have a 12W7, so that pretty much puts me in 2nd for overall excursion, behind only the 13W7. But my sub has never even been close to it's maximum limits, since I'm barely throwing any power at it.

I know i cant even get in last place, but i decided to try and get some pictures of my moms subwoofer moving. I got one good one, but it still doesnt do the woofer much justice. It may look like crap, but it gets very loud.

stupid friggin thing, wont let me attach the pic, i'll have to make a site some time today. anyways, nice pictures of the subwoofers guys! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gif

stfu, its louder then a lot of peoples setups around here. its louder then my friends car with his 2 kicker cvr's with 600 watts to it, and he cracked his window... so screw you
