i can get that done to i always at least buy wire ,speakers or something retail to go along with it. having hookups are nice but (not saying you do) i see alot of people abuse that privilege. if you get it and just wheel it around town it doesnt do anyone anything but yourself (i know you own/work at shop so you at least use it as a demo im sure) if you get product for free you should compete,demo, or at least display the vehicle at events imo.

Ebay is not really a "hookup", as its available for pretty much anyone.

My HU and my sub were purchased retail but everything else was eBayed.

Its been along time since I payed retail, if I ever did (I cant remember anymore). I have never bought a piece of electronics of the net and cant see myself starting anytime soon. I do however work in the industry so thats my hook up now.

I agree and do use it for demo purposes. Im also a regional rep for several manufacturers, so the demo portion is two fold. I dont get alot of stuff for no charge at all, most of it is reduced dealer cost prices.

for mr 12"R's i paid 200 for both and then rest was retail speakers were my brothers
