You're right. I just looked up the 2006 finals and non of the "big dogs" were there. Since MECA imposed that stupid "fuse rule" it became usless for DB Dragers to compete. Having finals in some muddy field was'nt too inviting either.

Besides, a MECA title doesn't hold the weight that a DB Drag title does. How many Companies use MECA champions in their magazine advertisements? How many TV shows have had MECA champs appeared on them?

In 2003, I held a MECA State title and in 2004, I was a SLAP National champion which made me proud, but I knew that DB Drag was for the "big dogs". Kicker was kind enough to sponsor me but every other company wanted to know if I competed in DB Drag.

That's just the way it is.

you do know there are classes for 0-500 watts...500-1000 etc

Yeah i know that, i was just joking around compared to people who are on here with 2-3000+ systems that go into them. When is the best day to go there, saturday or sunday. I am sort of a noob to car audio right now, been out of it for a while. Just getting back into it again.

Oh, trust me, I agree.

If I could afford to compete in db drag, I would do it. But I've always said that if I have to buy a car to be competitive, then I was going to quit competing. It's no longer fun to me at that point.

Their site doesn't have much info about what time things start and what day is what.

I am guessing saturday is the hop-off and bikini contest and sunday is the usac competition? What times does everything start? Just wondering if anyone knows exact details. Thanks.

go on sunday thats when youll see the sound off. after you spend $30 or so to enter in the gate + more to bring in your car + entry fees ($100+ total) . Or you can come to my event and only spend $5 compete . There be much louder cars and people that will tell you anything that you want to know about car audio.

I won't be bringing my car in, raamaat slowed my install down. Won't be coming until next week some time. DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN R U SERIOUS?hmm if it cost that much i might as well not compete..but if i did i will be giving folks problems....i finally opened up my port and o sweet momma its a whole new ball game...the low is still there but the authority is not as strong as be4...well im my opinion...but we will see..from wat i heard last night (speaking to kumar a dedicated usac competitior thats scared to do db drag...lol) he said it was 40 to get in if u was competing with ur ride not 2 seperate fee's.

Well folks, I am sad to say that we will not be able to make it due to my team mate being ill.

We also had some sub issues but we have plenty of extras standing by.

Next Sunday, there is a USACi show here in Hamden, Ct.

Hopefully, my partner will be feeling better and we will put up a good number. Our last USACi show a few weeks ago, we did a 61.9 with the doors closed. We should be able to top that next week.
