Who else's parents hate that you mess with your audio/car?

It's not like I hate my parents or anything...it's just that they nag me about it all the time. I've told them it's better than going out and drinking or doing drugs (never done either my whole life). I'm paying for it, so it's my car. I think they just wig out because it's new and they're scared I'm going to ruin it. I figure even if I do mess something up inside, it can be replaced...for goodness sakes, it's a Honda. I can order a new deck lid if I have to. Plus, Audio is better than tearing in into the engine bay. My parents used to hate it. I started when I was 14. I snuck 2 15's in my mom's delta 88 without her knowing. I had a switch located under the seat so I can switch off the amps when I wasn't using the car. My dad would of gave me the belt if he would of ever found out. I'm 27 now and he didn't learn to live with it and apreciate it until I was 20. Is just how it is.

My mom was like "Its so loud yet so clear" That really puzzles her. But Im 25 so she really cant say much.

Now Ive been trying to help my little (half) sister get a system and my Dad wont let her. She needs the money for college

But as a parent I can see where they are coming from. There are times when you need to spend your money responsibly. Thats why I got out of car audio and just recently got back in. It sucks but its true.

My dad gets pissed because he thinks Im going to go deaf. My mom hates it because she thinks Im going to get in trouble with the cops because of it.

But I dont give a **** because it my car and my money and I dont live at home anymore.

My dad always supported me when it came to car audio, he always helped me on my installs. Now I lost some interest i car audio, he was the last one who had a system in his car but some of it got stolen. His two planet audio subs and his planet audio amp and sub box were stolen. In the future when we have some extra money will put in a new and better system in his car.

my dad thinks it cool. wants to help all the time but knows nushing. my mom just laughs at me cause im so into it.

parents love good music.... hate the boom boom though... I have to turn the bass almost off when they ride with me..other than that it's all good... even put a single sealed 10 in my fathers truck... but he never turns it up loud enough to tell he has anything in it tho

Same. They just tell me what they think, but after its whatever.
