Who else's parents hate that you mess with your audio/car?

Everytime I start adding/replacing/re-doing anything in my car my parents talk sh*t. It aggravates the hell out of me. I know what I'm doing, but they always say "I wish you wouldn't do that". I'll finish up and clean everything up and you can't tell I've changed anything (speaking on wires and things going back into place). The worst part is when my dad tries to 'help' and he doesn't know what he's talking about, then gets huffy and gives up. My parents actually don't get really into it. If anything they support it, but they always support whatever hobby I happen to have. Maybe its because my car is a pos and that's why they don't mind me screwing with it. If They had bought me a car, a decent one persay, then they might get a little upset and want me to get everything installed

My parents freak. Like when I redid my D310 wiring (soldered it), my dash was laying out everywhere so my dad freaked. He was all "You better not screw that car up." Apparently, audio voids the warranty according to him.

Annoying since it's MY money so I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't know how.

Your money, but is it YOUR car that you PAID for with your own MONEY? If so then yeah u have the rights.
