LoL thats Steve Kerr, do you realize that? Hes the same guy that had a article saying Kobe single handedly won the MVP the night he dropped 81. He changes his opinion VERY often. He was decent at basketball, but definately not very sweet at being a sports article author.

Let me show you this who would you take?

Larry Hughes

Eric Snow

Zydrunas Ilgauskas

Drew Gooden

Damon Jones

or

Brian Cook

Smush Parker

Lamar Odom

Kwame Brown

and Jim Jackson or Luke Walton?

The lakers lineup is DEF. worse without their star.

and if they didn't have lebron, they would have picked up another dominant forward by now to fill in the puzzle. Good guards are much harder to come across than good forwards, and the fact remains that Kobe can't be replaced.

He has the sickest fade away and can drop 30 in a quarter like nothing.

I understand the award isn't for the best PLAYER in the league, but the most valuable, yet put steve nash on Kobe and he would look foolish.

okur is also a center that can step out and hit the three and i actually think he may be better then odum. you live in ohio of course you love james but the fact is theyre goin nowhere not while theyre in the same division as the pistons. the cavs are bad i was at the game wednesday in detroit and i left in the middle of the third because we were up by 30 points the whole **** game. cavs=very bad and not goin anywhere in the playoffs or with their franchise but oh well that doesnt concern me because the pistons are bringin another one home!

I think either Kobe or Dwayne Wade will win, but I think Chauncy deserves it. Leading the championship team is more impressive IMO than leading a .500 team, no matter how good you appear in the presence of sub-par players.

My opinions of the others. Nash is COMPLETELY over-rated, doesn't deserve the honor by any stretch of the imagination. LaBron is good, I'll give it to him, he's played great this year, and if he gets it - congratulations.

speakin like a true pistons fan....... noone hits more big shots then MR. BIG SHOT chauncey bbbbbbillups hes underated. yes his numbers are lower then the other guys in the race but he hits just as many if not more big shots and like u said hes leading a championship and thats alot harder to do then lead a bunch of scrubs to an shitty seed playoff team or a 500 team....... kobe will get the mvp but chauncey deserves

nash and lebron are most deserving of the award. nash has good teammates, but they would not have the numbers they have without nash. phoenix would not be able to run the style they do without nash. lebron, well does it all. 30 ppg, 7 assist and 6 rebounds. billups has hit some big shots, but it's actually carmelo who has the most game winners and his name never gets mentioned in mvp talk. billups teammates are better then phoenix, so i don't think billups get the award either

I am kinda surprised some peeps are picking Billups. Sounds to me that some people are just picking people they like. Hell I love Lebron James and think he could be the MVP, but went with Nash, due to him having an amazing season. Hell he is doing better than last year when he won it. I guess I am one of those guys that sees the MVP as a solo/team award. I just dont think Chauncey deserves it. I mean the guy can ball and is very good. But his stats dont compare to the others, plus I think even if Chauncey wasnt on Detriot, I still think Detriot would be able to compete. Now put Billups on another team that isnt as good and take them some where with amazing Lebron/Bryant #'s, then I could see it.
i am a die hard spurs fan...if i think someone has improved it would be parker

I picked Billups. I am a believer that winning is everything. I don't care what they teach you in school... winning is the most important thing in the game. Chauncey's on the best team, and he's leading them and playing well.

I am surprised nobody has voted for Brand yet tho... Statistically, he's a top player for sure and he has been having an amazing season.

LeBron, Kobe and D-Wade all have good shots too.

If I had to rank how I'd make my order for MVP, It would probably look something like this:

1. Chauncey

2. Kobe

3. LeBron

4. Brand

after that, I don't really care.

i cant believe NOBODY is giving Dirk Nowitzki any credit. a 7 footer winning the 3-pt shooting competition in the all-star game? this guy averages 26 points and 9 rebounds a game. hes a leader on a team that doesnt get enough credit. i would take him over anyone on that list in a 1 vs 1 match easy.

because he has been the backbone of the team for a long time now, but he just isnt that good, he is good. but just not good enogh. he doesnt lead all that well. he is getting to be a greater force in motivatiuon, but like i said he is not all that.
