I am kinda surprised some peeps are picking Billups. Sounds to me that some people are just picking people they like. Hell I love Lebron James and think he could be the MVP, but went with Nash, due to him having an amazing season. Hell he is doing better than last year when he won it. I guess I am one of those guys that sees the MVP as a solo/team award. I just dont think Chauncey deserves it. I mean the guy can ball and is very good. But his stats dont compare to the others, plus I think even if Chauncey wasnt on Detriot, I still think Detriot would be able to compete. Now put Billups on another team that isnt as good and take them some where with amazing Lebron/Bryant #'s, then I could see it.

I think that Kobe will get it just because hes kobe and hes the only good guy on his team. I would liek to see Dirk Get it however he has no chance. I think dirk is the best all aroudn player in the league. He is 7'0 and play like a guard - shoots like a guard, and can post up like a center/power forward

lebrons 3 pointers are actually falling less this year by around 3 percent ...... kobe on the other hand is just amazing worst team in the league way worst then the knicks and because of him they are a playoff team..... the knicks have steve francis, marbury,eddie curry, and the man Q (even tho hes strugglin a bit this year). the lakers have who, kwame brown smush fuuckin parker bryan cook and a shitty lamar odom. lamar odom shoots over 20 fgs and they lose everytime. they are like 0-15 when he shoots over 20 fgs a game...... just the facts!

Nash is good, so are the other people, but I like when the MVP goes to a player that is more valuable to their team than anyone else. Without nash the suns are still a top 3 team in the west. Without kobe the lakers are in dead last in their conferance and probably the nba

What are you talking about?They went 6 games last year without Nash and they went 1-5 I belive and that was with the young soon to be on top of his game allstar STAT. As you can see they didnt get to 62 wins again but that is because STAT was out this entire season basically, so when you have 7 guys that are having career years, have a 50+ season and turned around a pathetic 29 win to 62, that cries MVP if you ask me,. I mean look at last night, they were up by 19, Nash leaves and Dallas gets back into it only down by 6 so they have to bring Nash back to finish the game.

You must be ignornant as hell. Get more than two posts then try to argue with me. You saying the Suns were 1-5 without Nash means nothing. How did the Suns do when Amare played this season? Terrible. Amare might not be as dominant as Nash, but he definately is a game changer. Nash has better numbers than last year, but that doesn't mean he should automatically get the award, lol. Last year no one else even had close to a good season to compete with Nash. Hes averaging right around 10 assists and 19 points. Would you rather take 19 more points a game or five assists? I rest my case. Also, Kobe is much bigger, stronger, and has more potential to do great things than Nash. Will Nash EVER score 50? Probably not. Kobe does it like it's his job, and it pretty much is on the Lakers.

If Bryant had more of a supporting cast, he would DEFINATELY average around 8 assists. How about when Shaq was on the team, he averaged like 8 assists, 7 boards AND 30+ points. Bryant tries to get assists, his team mates can't make the shots though.

Nash didn't change the Suns, the whole team changed that year, Boris Diaw, Barbosa, Amare was drafted the year before, etc. They started four different people, the team changed, Nash wasn't even that good on Dallas, are you saying he got incredibly better when going to the Suns? Why didn't Dallas do awesome with him then? Yeah they had a good record, made the playoffs, but they had an awesome starters and bench with van exel, finley, etc.

I agree that Nash isnt the best all around solo player. I think the team helps make a certain individual a star/MVP. So that is why Nash is so good. He has a lot of weapons in Marion,Bell,Diaw,Barbosa,Stoudamire.(*when healthy) So see your point there. But I also agree that Nash makes his team better. If it wasnt for him then they wouldnt be where they are now. Might be a playoff team, but doubt they would contend for the big one. I mean what, Amare who tore it up last year has been hurt most of the year and still the suns are doing awesome. If they lost Nash and had Amare, I dont think they would be doing as well. Cause you lose the team leader,inspiration, energy,pts,***,stls. So much goes into play with Nash. He just will automatically make a team better. Why he didnt do that in Dallas, who really knows. Maybe he wasnt happy and didnt give it his all. Never know.

Also about Kobe. I agree he makes the Lakers who they are. I do however disagree that they would be the worst team in the league with out him though. They have a lot of young talent that can be good. Just will be hard to do anything when Kobe takes 75% of the shots. His pts are up for a reason and his ***. are down for a reason. I mean whoever said Lamar Odom sucks *** is quite funny. He is a very important reason why they do well as well. He is a big guy that can shoot 3's,periemeter, awesome at dishing the ball for a big man. You must not have looked at his stats over the years. So here you go.

lamar odom is very bad. u put any 6'10 guy downlow while kobe is shooting 27-30 shots a game hes goin to get rebounds and as for his assists, someone has to pass the danm ball on that team because its not kobe. nor would i pass it noone on that team can make a ****king shot...

raise your hand if u think lamar odom is even a top 10 foward in the league. if you do you are foolish

Its gotta be Kobe. I know its a combination of him and Phil but they have how many more wins than last year?? And he has gotten them into the playoffs without much help from his teammates.
