Another thing. Believing also makes me a better person. I could lie and cheat and rip people off and murder and **** with no remorse. But I stop and think, that is not what a good person would do. Will I be judged for this action I am about to take?!?!
I cannot speak for everyone, BUT I KNOW I am a better person for believing, knowing that somebody is watching you at all times makes you think about what is right in the eye of not only yourself but to life.
SO if in the end there is no god, I would go away in dust knowing that believing made me a better person in life and to others because of it.
i KNOW i am a better person for NOT believing. i'm a good person, not because of something selfish like being afraid of being judged by god, but because... i'm just a good person.
me being good for the sake of being good vs. you being good for the sake of god judging you. with that kind of logic, i think that makes me better than you, which enforces my belief that i am a better person for NOT believing...

Another scientific neglect is the flooding of the earth. It was written in many different languages and religions that the flood did happen, and science SAID in no possible natural way is there enough water to flood the earth like that written of.
the bible was written when the world was flat and largely undiscovered. its possible that a localized area was flooded, not the entire earth. so it could've seemed like the "earth" flooded, if all that you could visibly see was flooded.
but i guess that's a god fail if he was trying to start over with the human race.
and i guess that's a double fail for creation falling apart through sin in the first place.
well, i guess its a triple fail for god creating sin.
