who buys xplodes?

This is pretty funny, because a few months back my girlfriend sat in her coworkers boyfriends ride. She said it had a custom install and looked and sounded hella clean. She even took pics on her phone. I looked at them, and I tell her those are xplods and they **** *** and the guy wasted a custom install by getting that shit. Then I did a search for xplods at SD and here, pointed her a bunch of threads about xplods, and she was like "ohh, I didn't know. It sounded nice though!"

Maybe the install was done by someone who actually knew what they were doing.You can make **** near any sub sound half decent if you try.

Just a side note, this was NOT targeted at anyone specifically.Just a general comment.Figured I'd mention this before anyone threw a pissy fit.

Yeah, I'm still on my first sub setup. I wish i came here before i bought it though. Power acoustik really doesnt have all that good of SQ... at all. They can handle a lot of wattage for the money, but thats about it.

I'm workin on getting a 12w6v2 in a sealed box made according to jl's recommendations, and I think an orion 600d to power it, then later getting a second 12w6v2 when i get my money together.

I started off with pyle subs and a boss amp, although i was aware they sucked I just didn't have money for anyting better. Sometimes it's the money that matters.

I got BRAND NEW a headunit, front and rear speakers, 4 channel boss amp, 2 pyle 12s in bandpass box all for $300+ship so it was a good deal at the time.

As soon as i got money together I got a 12w6 and JBL 600.1 which got stolen pretty soon thereafter

Uhh, good job of reading my entire post. Right below that paragraph I mentioned that it's all in the install before you did. Try reading more thoroughly.

No I didn't. I did say they ****, they're shit, and they are nothing special, but I didn't say they were useless. Plus, I did acknowledge the fact that people have to start of from somewhere.

there is a shop in town with 12 xplodes in a extra cab pick-up. he hit 157 on the tl.install dependant.like stated by others.didnt sound half bad but doesnt mean you have to own them.

proof if there is any body from grants pass,medford area that has been to the "music shop" tell them as for proof my self i can not give it to you. i wish i could. if i get into town ill get pics if they will let me. the owner said that is what he hit.im going by what he said. look up music shop in grants pass, oregon they may have pics on there
