exactly... people use what they have, im sure people would drive hybrids if they had too but people already have vehicles so we stick with what we have
A hybrid is a step in the right direction, but we must get away from relying on something that can and will be used up.

We could, but that would "Harm the enviornment" and "Tap our fossil fuels". We are saving our oil for a rainy day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif .
Yes. Perhaps a ceiling on gas. Make a law that one must sell gas for a dollar.

Oh

Wouldn't we want to exhaust everyone else's resources first?

Your view is wrong...
yes

Ok, tell me, do you honestly believe that technology CAN NOT or HAS NOT already developed a car that can run on electricity or another source of fuel?
I believe, that we or someone has or at least can develope that vehicle, the problem, is that eventually that vehicle will run the oil bidness out of bidness, and that would not be good for those rich folks that are getting fat off oil.

And we know the US wants to keep the rich rich and the poor poorer!
They do exist. Just not in a practical application yet. Battery technology is still pretty limited, and im not sure about you, but until they can make hydrogen or something along those lines a little safer for the average person, that isnt a reality either.

But both steps in the right direction.

Supply and demand. I can assure you the president does not dictate gas prices. He may have a little influence but he nor any other person have the power to say lower or raise gas prices substantially.
I know, I was being sarcastic when I said "Thats the way I see it" . I know the president can't wake up and say

"Morning honey, I think I will lower the gas prices today, what are you going to do?"

well than why dont we switch to hydrogen powered cars then??? theres not much marketing for them because the gov. wont make as much money but there out there...

Neither safe nor practical with the technology we have on a mass market. If it was just our government holding us back, dont you think that you would see these in energy conscience countries such as Japan?

I believe the technology is there. I believe it is not as cheap as gas. Look at other countries...do you think every country in the world is under the power of distill petroleum because of oil companies?

i see your point at that... well than america needs to start working out , riding bikes somethin so maybe we wont be the fatest country anymore

The amount of energy per unit of hydrogen is less than the energy per unit of gasoline. Furthermore, the cost to acquire, transport, and store gasoline is cheaper.

Thats my thinking, what can the government make the most tax money off of? something everyone need's on a daily basis....... Gas!

The prices of food have gone up, and some states even have specila "Food taxes", its crazy, but they will say they need that money to work for us.

No, but come on, there has to be something we can do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
