Yeah..you can find this "idiot" in a feature ad of CA&E a few months ago with his 300.

Atsaubrey is a cool guy. Awesome car.

the winner can be easily chosen by an external source like the lotto or whatnot.

he may be good people but this is like the 5th thread to pop up in the last few months about people ( non companies ) running a raffle to only benefit themselves. The last kid wanted to raffle off stuff because he was dealing with his grandfathers death, like he has enough sense during a time of grieving to run a raffle and keep up with all the money.

nothing personal to the OP, which is why I said idiots, and not him specifically

Many (not all) of the mods here are basically only about themselves. I find it unlikely that they would do a raffle unless it somehow benefited them.

Good idea though. Many forums will get companies to donate items as raffle items, then have the winner do reviews. Or do some sort of challenge where people do installs or something like that, other members vote and the winner gets the prize.

We run car audio raffles all the time on CACO and they go just fine. Staff handles the drawing and all is good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

We have a forum dedicated to just raffles as well.

hi i am a mod. woopdie do.

anywho. a raffle to benefit the sole person who is proposing the raffle, and the winner who gets the prize is most likely not going to happen.

we usually have a caraudio.com raffle about once a year that donates to some sort of charity. but i dont think we have done it for a while. maybe we should look into getting one of those started again. the last time iirc incriminator audio hosted the raffle and did the drawings for us.

a single raffle to raise money for yourself will not happen. this forum is not a place for individuals to raise money for themselves.

bj, sundown, ect raffled off that equipment to save kyles life so that he can get the surgery that costs over 500 thousand dollars, at the same time performing an experimental surgery that should push science and hopefully help more people and bring the costs down.

IA did raffle off the DP. and if you read his thread, it says "we will give the money to a good cause as we always do."

so as i said. its not to benefit a single individual.

and here are the moderators.

Exactly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I was agreeing with you req, just wanted to point out that we have had some benefit raffles as of late.

IF it was approved it would benefit the SPCA, I am a animal lover and I contribute to them all the time. Matter of fact this last summer I asked for donations on here for a benefit walk they had. Lets just say it went well and alot of people contributed. As for "crappy" gear I was thinking a Zapco 500.1, Sundown 100.2 or 1500D, or maybe a Kicker 1500.1 I guess my gear is too crappy for you fellas.

Sometimes the attitudes on here are just disgusting.
