Whining Noise, I have tried everything

here's a bright idea, how about you grab a portable cd player/mp3 player and get a headphone to rca adapter and hook it up to the amp and see if it still whines.......

AND BEHOLD..... there is NO noise/alt whine when using a portable CD player as the RCA connection instead of the deck! awesome. So now it's down to either the RCA's or the Deck as the prob. I'm borrowing some $80 RCA's(never heard of the brand) from a friend tommorow and his alpine deck, then i'll know for sure ;-)

I'm having the same problem with my pioneer, I think I had a ground trace give out as well, but my internal amp inside the HU blew. Now I have the whine and I can hear the laser head moving inside like you're talking about. I think I'm gonna buy one of those power isolators for my HU and see if that helps.
I fixed my problem! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I made my own low pass filter using a capacitor and inductor. like shown here:

Just look at the woofer part and replace the woofer with the power wires on going to the cd player. It's basically what a power filter does, I think they still sell them at radio shack, but I had the cap. and inductor lying around so I just threw it on there to see if it worked, and I think it did, but I also did what i suggested below at the same time, so it could have been either one.

Also, before you buy anything, try taking a couple pieces of small gauge wire and connect it to the outter barrel of the RCAs. then connect it to ground. I attached mine to a screw on the back of the cd player. (shoulda taken a pic of it while I was in there.)

dude, its your HU, i had that problem. so i couldnt listen to my comps for over half a year, then i finally got the bright idea to borrow my sisters old xplod and didnt get any noise, even tho the xplod sounded like piss.

i tried sending a PM, so srry for hijacking the thread, but nice car lifeownedme //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

However, I still have my stock front speakers that i can fade in, and those don't have any alt whine/noise, just anything connected with the RCA's. just another piece of info.

I have same experience on all Nissan Cars, no matter with Alpine/Panasonic, once I add a amp. the whinning noise will come with the generator.

Now I have another founding that: New Pioneer is worse than old Pioneers.

I take off my olf Pioneer KEH-8650 to brand new DEH-860MP on my Hyundai car.

The old 8650 works well with my a/d/s amp. but new 860MP come out same noise after 2nd try starting the engine. Everything is the same, just swap the HU. Now I wonder new HU with RCAs come with a small connector, should be worse than old HU RCAs come directly from the MLB board.

The other suspect is that I hit speaker + & - together without a care before the nosie coming out. Anybody can help to explain why this short on speaker will impact the RCA noise??? I wonder.

Maybe like you said should I return to fix? I love this HU, it looks cool.

And the iPod adap CD-IB100 is on the way back from Cruthfield

Or I have to wait for Apline 9855 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

I order my 860MP on Hyaudio but it's said on web that new HU should be test before install, any scratch by install will cause on return. Is it real?

If I can not be refund, can I have them send another new one?
