alrighty everyone i know this has been beaten to a pulp so bear with me...i have 2 10 inch subs and 2 500w amps but have nuttin hooked up at the moment, im not sure if this is relevant but i thought i should mention it. Besides that setup i am completly stock(even the HU) about a week ago my drivers side door speaker began pickin up the engine whine. I took the door panel off and unplugged the speaker and plugged in a new speaker just in spite and the whine was still there. I still have some reading to do but i have a few questions about what i have read. There is alot of talk about bad grounds with this problem but i was under the impression that ssince stock speakers ran to the amp and the amp only has one ground it would affect all the speakers not just one am i correct? also would an exposed wire touching the body of the car (grounding the wire) cause this interference. I have all the stock wires so i do not have an after market rca's..sry about the long post but i figured i would cut some questions out for all of u helping me and hopefully get it figured out faster, thanx!

i have already attempted to install an aftermarket HU and it didnt work and i spent alot of time and got frustrated and put in the aftermarket hu on hold

If you get frustrated just installing a HU, maybe car audio shouldn't be your hobby of choice. Installing a HU is probably (at least in my experience) the easiest step of all.

And x2 on trying a GOOD aftermarket HU. Can make quite the difference.

well if you were having problems with the aftermarket Hu like the same kinda problems

with the drivers side speaker I would thank it was a speaker wire some where grounding on something in side door jam or some where

well i had the head unit installed correctly (to both the audio shop i took it to and my knowledge) but my speakers would cut out when i tried to turn the volume up passed a certain level i attemped to bypass the stock amp to no avail and tried many solutions that were posted on here wit no success...since i have no way of testing my head unit or the wiring harness idk if either of them were bad so back to my original question plz

Just a thought when you install a new radio, you did buy a wiring harness right

And if so the wire coming out of the factory amp are the door speaker wires and those

wires should have been hooked up to the new radio speaker (out put) wires. Not the wires

going (into) the factory amp. Did that make any since?

yes i bought the harness and it made sense...if i ever get a chance i will have to try that, i dont remember that begin a solution in my initial post about that but wouldnt bypassing the stock amp do the same thing just eliminate the need to run all new wires?...anyone with any ideas on my interference?
