I'll be in Florida turkey hunting trying to complete my first grand slam (killing all four subspecies of wild turkey in the U.S.)..

Got my eastern here in Mississippi

Two seasons ago I went to Texas and got my Rio

Last season I went to South Dakota and got my Merriam's

Now I am after the toughest one..The Osceola in Mid-Southern Florida.

We will be hunting on Richloam WMA which is about 50 miles south of Orlando.. We were fortunate to get drawn to hunt as out of state residents don't have good odds at all the first year they apply..

Heading out early tomorrow morning..Season starts the 15th, but we need Wed-Fri to scout and find some birds.. May be gone till the 22nd if need be for both me and my dad to get a bird.

You haven't lived until you do the Grand Slam in Alaska! Moose, Caribou, and a Grizzly Bear.

Having a grizzly bear charging you while you pump rounds into him from a 300 Weatherby Magnum gets the old heart pumping. While turkey's are wiley and tricky to zero in on they aren't much of a challenge. White wing and dove hunting is tougher since they are in constant motion. Blue and bob white quail on my ranch in South Texas are fun I have nailed blue's and had them get up and walk away.

I shot a peacock once.
I had to. It was shitting all over the place and the noise it makes was driving me nuts!\

i shot a nigger bird through the neck at my friends house on the intercoastal. it made some noise like a retard panting while twitching and collapsed dead in the water. then all the water turned to blood and it floated away. quit sure it was something elses dinner.
