2 12" subs, running off 300RMS, so 150 per sub..

or

1 12" sub running off 300RMS by itself.

assuming you use the proper box for each setup and correct volumes, etc...

but wouldnt it only hit about 3 dB more? i thought adding a second 12 (depending on the sub) you would only get aprox 3 dB more.

thats what i thought....

addition of subwoofer = 3db's

2x the wattage = 3db's

If you get the two subs then later you could also get a better amp and it would sound twice as loud.if it gave the subs 300 rms each.

and on top of that wouldnt it not it as hard because of 150w x2 instead of 300 x1? i would have thought 1 would hit harder in this case, if not the same.
