which would be louder?

i agree with nolesman... facing the rear of the trunk should magnify the bass.

by the way nolesman... i have been meaning to ask you, in your signature it says you have a "400x4" for your mid's & hi's... is that really a 400x4 or a 100x4?

now if i have them facing in my trunk with my back seat down should i seal any thing up like around the box and open seat area or should i just leave it?

the fosgate 400.4 puts out 50x4 at 4 ohms, and 100x4 at 2 ohms. i dont think they make anything bigger than a 600.4, maybe a 800.4 tho. and the 800.4 would be a 100x4 or 200x4 at 4 and 2 ohms respectively.
