Which will sound better???

I have a 97 4runner, fosgate amp pushing about 500 watts, and 2 JBL GTO1004d 10's in a prefab Probox with the correct volume. I am considering selling that and getting a single 10 or maybe 12. Would a single sub (approx $100 sub) such as a CVR in a custom made sealed enclosure yeild better sound than my current setup? Thank you.

depends on what you mean by better, and how well either fits your ride...

IMO, even one 10 in a custom tune vented box will sound way better than what you have now and better than a sealed box
