Which will be better for 1uping my friend?

I dont know on the hifonics subs and 1600... This whole thing really depends a lot on the box. The 2 AQ HDC3 with a 1200 ea would def do it if the box was right. AQ is also fairly affordable....

What is your friend running for power?

And why are you getting a set-up just to "1-up" your friend.... lol

I have a set-up cause I like getting loud and working on it keeps me out of trouble

Are all of yall serious. His friend is only running 10"s - Almost any 2 12" will hit deeper than his 10"s. And you dont need 3000 Wat max subs. And your looking at stuff that aint relaly worth the money. If you want to bust him without spending an assload then here ya go.

you just refered to a MAX power handling. then told him to get hifonics subs. you fail sir.

Well, he's going to be running them with two amps. A 1500-watt crunch and an old 800-watt ultimate amp.

Those Hifonics are bad from what i hear There stitched like the kickers L7 too the local audio

shop wants 130.00 each for the 12in model

LOL at your friend running two different amps. Those poor Type-X's...he should give them to me. I'd give 'em a better home. I WAS going to say that if you went with AQ or something similar, his set-up would probably sound better, but now I'm guessing he has a pre-fab box with your "2 separate amp" comment about him. Sigh...even back in the day when I didn't know anything about car audio, I had better sense than to use two different amps.

Hell, it would be fun to "waste his ***" with two/three DD 1508s just because...
