yep
Well, im soon going to be building a sealed box for four infinity 1240's and im not sure which way to make the box. Im pretty sure i can make it firing towards the back being that its going in a 91 deville and the trunks huge. I believe it would be much easier to make the box upfiring though. Is there any advantages/disadvantages to either method. I had one 12 firing towards the back and it sounded real good, so i dont want to lose much output/sound quality if any. Thanks

don't upfire in a trunk, that's your weakest wall, most flex
push up against seatbacks, fire back, or push back to the rear of the trunk and fire forward
retarded^^^

most likely wont be able to tell the difference in up and back

I plan on firing up in my hatch. I really don't see whats wrong with firing up in a trunk either. I fired down in my jetta, and up in my truck. Just curious.

If you have a good front stage, it shouldn't matter. I don't like rear fill regardless, but that's personal opinion. I have my sub upfiring in my trunk now with the rear speakers out. It also gave me more headroom for the box.

I have tried just about every imaginable way in a 02 cavalier when I had it and it sounded the loudest facing back, even though it rattled the most that way. Sounded like shit upfiring and lost alot of dbs due to flex. Sounded the cleanist facing foward. Just my .02 cents. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
