which way to face subs?

i have a 2005 dodge dakota 4 door (subs in the back)

righ now i have (2) 12'' mtx 5500's in a thunder enclosure. facing up towards the roof.

would it be louder outside the car to face them towards the front or to leave them up?

they are powered by a directed d2400 amp at 2ohms which is 800rms

why do you care what it sounds like outside of the car? Face them however way sounds best, unless of course you drive outside of your car.
