I'm thinking about what to do with my substage. Before I spend the money on enclosure materials and installation, I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade or not. I'm not doing this twice!

Here are the three setups:

Sub stage #1:

JBL GTO 1202D (two of them)

JBL CS300.1 Sub Amp

Sealed enclosure to factory req specs

Pros: Have everything already

Cons: It's an extremely tight fit, it will not look as good as 2 or 3 once installed.

Sub stage #2:

JL Audio 13TW5-3 (One of them)

JBL CS300.1 Sub Amp

Sealed enclosure to factory req specs

Pros: Have the amp already so I just need to buy the driver, It would be a very clean install and I should have room on the amp rack to upgrade it in the future. The amps will look uniform displayed together.

Cons: It's possible that it won't sound as good as the two 12s because there will be a lack of cone area.

Sub stage #3:

JL Audio 13TW5-3 (One of them)

JL Audio 500.1 Sub Amp

Sealed enclosure to factory req specs

Pros: It would be a very clean install and I would be done with the substage for good, Plenty of power to make this 13.5 driver sound as good as the two 12s on 300.1. The install would look perfect and not as stuffed into the area. Much cleaner install. Maybe even free up some space for storage.

Cons: Price is a factor here. This is a huge upgrade. My JBL frontstage amp would look kind of weird next to an amp that doesn't match it imo.

I feel like its a bad set(Low tier set) of RCAs myself. I use Stinger Zero Noise and 4000-8000 series without any issues. Dayton makes a nice set...

Brahmas are nice. I have a 10" Mk1. Just a single 10 was enough for me.
