Which Subs?

I have a $800-$1000 budget and I'm wondering what you guys think would be my best options i need 1 or 2 subs and an amp. The main thing I'm looking for is pounding bass.

I would get 1 JBL\Crown BPX1100.1 can be had for around 400 if you know where to look.

Bridge the Amp, and use 2 12's or 10's, possibly IDQ v.3's or W12GTis, Maybe 1 big DD or somethin along those lines

How much space you have to work with? How important is sound quality 2 you? Are you looking 2 just be as loud as possible?
