Which Subs have you owned, And what did you like the most?

Hey guys, just curious to see what you have all owned on here. If you want to also talk about the highs and lows of each sub, im sure that would help people looking around at subs also.

I dont have a long list, only 2 subs here but I KNOW a lot of you have had a ton of them!

12" Kicker CVR

15" Kicker CVX - Deffinatley better SQ than the CVR and hits lower. Im in love with it.

acoustic audio 12"s...$20 just so i could have bass in between subs..shitty

massive audio dmx 15" good stuff..loud

4 mach5 MJ-18"s loud

x18" prototype....great

12 inch MDX Audio = allright cheap sub

12 inch Diamond CM3 = got loud died by wall socket

2 10 inch Pioneers = suprised me

1 10 inch Xplod = sucked balls died by wall socket

2 12 inch Mtx Thunder 8000 = got pretty loud on 750 rms

Lanzar 12 = sucked

Type R 12 = loud

10 inch Audiobahn Immortal = got loud crappy sq

2 12 Cvxs = got crazy loud and great sq

1 12 Mt = major lows and allright sq

3 12 Cvrs = great for the cash.

1 10 L5 = still own it and works ,great sub

Lightning Audio 10 = sucky

Hmmmmm bout all i can think of right now......

Out of them all my favorite is a tie between Mt and Cvxs

Audiobahn AW125t 12s - Okay, not great, but not as awful as everyone says.

Audiobahn Immortal 12 - Loud, Audiobahn's big sub, not too bad.

DD 9917 - loud as hell - my favorite because it shook the shit out of my car.

DD 9510G - loud as hell, but not as loud as the 18

My home subs ive been pleased with the most.

One was a Paradigm PS 1200 ( one with 3 ports)

other is custom build with earthquake 12" DBXi s ( 2 12s) and the supernova plate amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif its a LLT box this thing shakes the shizz out of my house.

Ive had kenwood 10s and 12s, JL 10s and 12s, Alpine type R 15s ( 3 of ) that was loud.

2 earthquake DB 10s under the seat of my truck .90 cube sealed, not enough bass for me

Currently in my truck is my older trusty Tsunami 1100D and my tsunaim 12DB sub. the box its in moves enough air its like air conditioning in my truck, no bs.

Working on ordering 2 Team quakes now and should have a PHD5000w soon.

Alpine Type-R 12 - ****in loud for just 1 12, sounded not very good though but for the price id def take another anyday

rl-p12 - sounded great, punchy, got plenty loud for the price

SI Mag v1 12 - CRAZY CRAZY lows and sounded just as good as the rl-p, loud too

2 15" TC-9 based prototypes - for the short time I had them installed, they had decent SQ and decent output, great power handling, dont think I even gave them close to what they could handle

Sony Xplod 10"'s (the old red octagon shaped ones or w/e) - terrible

2 Alpine Type-R 15's - havent installed

MTX road thunder 12 - pretty shitty sounding, but got loud off 280 watts

Audiobahn Immortal 12 - decent, pretty good compared to other audiobahn subs but not something I woul dhave again

kicker s12l5 - decent SQ, pretty loud, one of my faves

2 kicker cvr-12s - sounded a little better than the type-r's and l5, got surprisingly loud and they were CHEAP

fi q 15 - sounded great and got low, but wasnt as loud as I expected it would be... the box wasnt exactly optimal though

fi btl 12 fully loaded - owned for like 2 weeks andd then changed to SQL/SQ over SPL, sounded decent for being PURE spl, got ****ing loud. i had 2k on it and it could have took a ton more

cvx 15 - never installed, I sold it, but looked and felt like a solid sub and i hear tons of good things about them

my faves are the type-rs, si mag v1, rl-p, btl, and the cvr for budget... the l5 was good too but I liked the others just a little more.

edit: forgot a couple old pioneer 10s I had, they were alright sounding but they got really loud, really surprised me the first time I turned the volume up. nothin to brag about SQ wise but they were like 50$ each so I was happy

I have owned several, i cant even think all of them right now. The one that impressed me the most was my 10" Power HX2, impressive little sub. As far as the loudest I have used was a Powerbass Extreme 12", older ones. I havent really experienced anything new within the past 2 years since i have put systems on hold for a while now. I have an 18" BTL due here tommorrow, we will see how that does.

true that, im not trying to beat anyone seeing as how there are people on here who have owned at least 5 or 10x as many as me

I have owned 2 different kinds.

I just loved my CVR's so when I decided on a whole new setup I took the amp from teh CVRs to power my interiors and then got a CVX. I heard a LOT of good things about the CVX, and then I was about to get a 12" L7 and KidThump talked me into the CVX and i'm very happy he did!
