Which Speakers

is it worth the 40? Are they an upgrade?

there are no reviews for the pg.

The references sound alright, a ton better than stock but my stock 6.5" weighed about 2 ounce, smallest magnets I had ever seen.

Oh, perhaps this forum has a speaker section. I'd bet someone in the past has thought of these same speakers.

PG RSds **** ***. If you have 150w RMS per side on tap, they'll sound better than with their rated 60w RMS, but I'd just save your money for a nice set. $150 or so seems like the minimum for a nicer component set.

Woofer - High power handling, gets loud, midrange sounds like *** so hopefully you have a decent EQ.

Tweeter - Sounds much worse than my LPG26NAFMs, power handling is not on par with the woofer and therefore is more susceptible to being blown. Sounds bad on-axis, off-axis and is just not worth the tuning effort.

If you do not listen to rock and metal, you might be pleased with the RSd set, actually. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere. Seriously.
