Which Speakers? NO COMPS!

I am looking for speakers for my 2003 Chevy Malibu. I need 4x6 in the front and 6x9 in the rear. I want clean sound, loudness, and bass. I DO NOT want comps, just regular speakers. I have a budget of $200 for both. I need some suggestions. What speakers will fit my needs?

If you want bass, why dont you invest in a subwoofer?

I am going in stages and this is in the head unit/speakers stage. I will eventually get subs and an amp, when I am ready.

what about the pioneer speakers... they have some members on here that swear by them... may be something to look in to

Boston Acoustics has some nice coax speakers. I had a pair of 6x9's in an Accord with a Rockford Punch 150 and it truly sounded as though I had a nice small sub in the car.

then why waste your money on coaxial speakers?

why not go in stages, and invest your money on good sounding seperates (components) and an amplifer for them?

otherwise you might as well flush your money in the toilet. *shrug*

coaxial speakers are *USUALLY* not too far of a jump from stock speakers my friend.
