Which shallow mount?

I am trying to decide between the Rockford Fosgate P3 Shallow mount. The kicker CVT. Or the pioneer Premier 1000 watt Shallow mount. They are all the 12" model. If i get the kicker i will be running it in the kicker box with the zx400.1 amp. The other two will probley be a box built by me with some 1000 watt amp.

the p3 shallows arent that good

The kickers are fairly good

the pioneers are alright

kicker > pioneer > rockfords

as far as shallows go

Ok if i run the pioneer or rocksford i will probley go with a kenwood 1000w amp.

i have installed all 3 subs in dif. vehicles, & to me the mb quarts sound better. we just installed 1 mb quart 10" shallow in a late mod. chevy colorado that sounded really good. wholesale house is running the mb quarts on sale right now so they are cheaper than any of the other 3. just something to think about.

Heard 2 12 " shallow p3s with 500 rms

heard 3 10" pioneers with 800 rms

Heard 4 10" kicker CVT with 1000 rms

if you put them in a box with low volume this is true. if you give the 12s about 1.2 cubs per sub they sound alot better.

the 2 12" p3 shallow were in a 2.5 cube box, so about 1.25 each

they just arent as good

if anything rockford should have renamed these as p1 shallows, since they sound identical to p1's

the worst sounding shallow mount subs i have heard was the earthquake.

i am a fosgate dealer. they are in the p3 series because the cast basket and it is a higher grade sub.
