I am ready for a change and i am trying to get more competitive. Well i got off the phone with a knowledgeable and respectable car audio junkie today. He suggested that if i wanted to do better that i should limit myself to one sub, (since i don't have the room for 2 15's). Well i can't decide if i want to compete with a single 12 or a single 15? Which class do you think there is less competition in?

It will either be a 12 MOFO or a 15 MOFO.

I plan on keeping the 2 A3000DB's and strapping them together to get a 3600 wrms at 2 ohms.

Im ordering a MOFO15 in a few days... try the 12, ive never seen one before.

definitely do the 15, I believe they rated 200 watts more than the 12, 3600 watts is a lot to send one of them, bet it is going to put out some nice burps! what kind of ideas do you got going for your enclosure?

well if i go with a 15 i figure i will have to do about a 5 ft^3 enclosure to get optimal performance.

If i go with a 12 i will only have to go with about a 3.8 ft^3 which will give me more room to do some glassing in my trunk.

Basically i want to go in the class that i am going to have a better chance of winning. Which one is going to have less competitors. Are there more people running single 15's or single 12's.

yes, this thing will burp nicely with 3600 wrms. But for daily driving i will just run one of the A3000DB's.

I'd go for the 15" and larger enclosure.

Don't worry about the fiberglass / don't fiberglass anything in the trunk.

You'll be smashing the shit out of your fiberglass work every time you swap out boxes ... if you're looking to be more competitive, one box won't likely cut it - you'll be modifiying it looking to squeeze every possible db you can out of it. Once you're happy with everything, go ahead and do some 'glass work.

As for having a better chance of winning ... depends on who shows up.

Like everyone else said; I'd go 15 if you have the proper space for it. Also, why are you sticking with a Mofo? TWH should have a pretty wide selection for you to choose from.....what all brands do they carry again? They may have something that would do better in the lanes.

the mofo would be his best bet for any SPL application from TWH. believe me lol. Unles he did the SPLW woofers.

No, it actually wasn't Dave. But a guy that Dave refferred me to that actually lives really close to me. As far as the brands here is what i got. So let me know which ones that i can get that will do better in the lanes. As far as sticking to the MOFO do you even need to ask. But if you can think of something better from below please let me know. I am open to suggestions.
