Arent the CVX basically a L7 just with a round cone.. i heard they have the same motor, drivers... same everything as the L7, just in a round format instead of square for better efficiency and SQ

correct, and the CVX sound and work better sealed then the L7

well im putting my subs in a TCAB box regardless of what kind i get, i was just wondering if the CVX are "better" then a L7, and do they get as loud

Ive heard that the 12 inch L7 is louder then the 12 inch Alpine R, but on the flip side, the 15 inch alpine R is louder then the 15 inch L7, otherwise ide just go with a 15 L7, but if the alpine R is louder AND better SQ, why bother ya know

may be louder in one case, not in another, install depandant
