Is there any good reason to spend almost $20 more to get more expensive kit?

This kit is to hookup a mono kickerzx400.1 amp and a TC-1000 Sub. I have a nice JVC headunit with P5 volt preamp voltage outputs and a subwoofer preamp output.

Is there anything else I'm going to need for this system?

Kollosus > KLM wire.

However since you're running only 400w, even the 8awg kit would suffice. I would recommend getting the 4 gauge kit so you have headroom to upgrade later.

If you have the cash, and plan on upgrading a lot in the future, I would even recommend going straight to 1/0 and get it over with.

amen..running 4 guage through the firewall and under the carpet was bad enough, having to rip it all back out, and run 0 under the car...was a pain in itself also...1 pain is better than 3, (laying wire, ripping wire out, laying more wire)

make sure it's copper. high strand count.. and as mutch ft as you need....

KLM is copper clad aluminum. Good for systems that need more than 8awg, but not quite 4.

I just realized the $26.99 4 awg kit i was about to buy is not in stock. are there any other web stores where i can get quality cheap cable?
