Which one? CDT coaxials or Pioneer Rev

Hey everyone,

I'm just getting into car audio (after diving into headphones and home audio...) and I wanted to changed the front 2 speakers on my 95 accord (2.5 inches mounting depth). I'm looking specifically at 6.5 inch coaxials for easy installation (im doing it myself). Its just going to be powered by a pioneer HU (nothing fancy there). I just need something that won't hurt my ears when im driving around and listening to music. My budget is $100 max. Lower is better...originally aimed at $60-70. In terms of sound, I'm looking at something thats not bright, but rather warm and smooth and detailed. (to give an idea, I have a tube amp at home and in terms of headphones, I prefer the Seinheissers' type of sound). good midbass would be a definite plus as I have no sub.

So right now, I narrowed it down to the CDT coaxials that go for about $100. Not sure which ones though:

the classic ones (which i think they dont have anymore):

or the slim fit ones:

or the ones for japanese cars:

or the more popular ones:

If not the CDT, the Pioneer Rev that are so highly recommended on this forum. http://www.millionbuy.com/piotsd161r.html

or the premiers that look exactly the same?

Its hard for me to audition the Pioneers as according to pioneer's site, theres no retailer that has them within a 200 mile radius. The CDT are available in a store thats about an hour away for me. (making it a 2 hour drive for something I may or may not buy)

So what do you guys think fit what I need? thanks for the input guys. I definitely learned a ton from reading through all these threads.
