Don't listen to them Alpines are good. Image Dynamics aren't better than Alpine.
WTF?I'd get the Alpine SPS-600C or the Alpine SPR-17S for a component setup. I hooked up some Alpine Type-S SPS-13C2 to 140-150 watts at full volume, ran them for awhile, then realized I didn't turn the crossover from full to high. Really good speakers. Power Acoustik had some good speakers out called XP2K. They have a new XP series out, with better surround and tweeters. For mid bass go with Elemental Designs e3.6 subwoofer.
STFU. Alpine type X are good, but all you've heard are shitty alpinesAnd never take advice from someone who can't read. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i disagree. i hate the prs tweets, way too harsh. i have also had experience w/ both sets, and i think that the lower mid response on the pioneers is WAY better than the cdts, but the real higher (like 60hz & up) mid bass and midrange is better on the cdt's than pioneer. but the tweets are what makes me think otherwise, cuz i love the cdt's silk tweeters //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifYou may want to look at the Pioneer PRS comps .Fit you price range and will shit on those cdt's in all aspects . I know first hand being that Ive owned both sets. The ID comps are very good comps for the money also .
