Which of these 2 amps do I get?

I have 2 Rockford p2d2 12" subs. They are the 2010 model and rated at 250 rms 500 peak. Been pushing them with a Rockford 500bd with a birth sheet stating 680 watts. Well I'm looking for a new amp and I'm considering an alpine mrv-m500 or the pdr-m65.

Only reason I'm asking is because I'm afraid the pdr-m65 may be more than I need. But I want at least what I was getting from the 500bd. What do you think?

M65 but why replace the rockford with something the same? Peesonally i would get a bigger amp.

Look for a true 1000watt amp. Not another 500watter

Well, my subs sounded great with the 680 watt Rockford. Plenty of power. I'm only replacing it because something is wrong with it, the RCA inputs are introducing noise and I don't feel like trying to repair it, nor am I sure how to. Figured I'd just get something new. The M65 seems like a great choice, and comparable watts. I just wish it came with the bass knob instead of being $30 extra. I wonder if my Rockford bass knob would work with it. I guess I could try it.
