Which is the better Sub

I was going to replace my blown RE 12" RE series sub with a 12" SR series sub. My local dealer tells me I should get the Memphis M1 Series sub instead. So which is the bettter sub for my system? I listen to mostly classic rock but like a good solid thump. The Memphis is $160 and the RE is $190, Thanks for any help.
