Which is the better battery, Optima Red 75/25 or Kinetic 1400?

This is just for a drop in on a 1998 Dodge Avenger.

Which one of these batteries is going to give me better all around performance?

I run optimas. I won't run a red top again.

my 1400 (although in different vehicle and system) has lasted longer than any red top i ever had and i use it for more things with the key off as well... i use it for an outdoor power source to race rc cars as well as run my vehicle and it hasnt let me down in 2 yrs

Red top sucks I hav eone and only have gotten problems from it. The side mounts are straight garbage.

Rep tops are not deep cycles and should not be used as an engine-off battery, they wont last long that way... if that's what you meant.

Ive been an Optima user for years, but I'll be ordering a Kinetik in the next couple weeks. Think Im gonna like it.

yup but funny thing is only battery that survived during my comp days was a 3+ year old wet cell mega tron that wasnt deep cycle either, was used in the exact same manner as the red top. only time the red top was used as key off was at sq comps the rest of the time i could plug my car in lol

For the price difference. I'd go with the Red Top.
