Which is better 2 gauge or 1/0 wiring?

I am hooking up my rockford 1500bd. I cant seem to find a amp kit with all i need so i am going to buy every thing seperate. I have come up with a list of stuff i need....

1) Power/grounding wires i picked out http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCCPPWBK10 Is this a power cable or can it be used as grounding to? Do you have certain wires for each? If u guys think i need 2 gauge than ill pick out differnt wires/

2) Fuse/Fuse Holder i am looking at http://www.cardomain.com/shop/item.pl?sku=STIGANL150 that is a 150 amp fuse thats what my manules recommed for my amp. But they also recomed 4 gague wire but i want better wireing so do i need a bigger fuse? For the holder http://www.cardomain.com/item/STISANLFH0W

3) Distribiton box what does this accualy do? I was told i needed it but what is it and will it work? http://www.cardomain.com/item/STISTEE0

4) Capacitor i need a 1.5 frade havnet found one yet would i be able to use my power wires for that?

5) gauge adaptor i was told the Rockford 1500bd can only use 4 gauge wires and i need a gauge adaptor will this work? http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCRP8220

Ok, thats all i think i need to hook up my amp but than again i am a n00b still so could you please tell me if i need any thing esle.

What kind of wires do i need to use to wire my amp to my Head Unit? I do need to wire it to there right?

You need to wire a remote turn on lead to the head unit - I used 14awg stranded THHN house wiring (simply because I had a 100ft roll of it at the time), but any stranded or solid wire from 14awg to 16awg will work.

You also need a set of RCA interconnects from the sub preout on the deck to the amp.

That's the RCA interconnect cable.

14awg stranded wire is...exactly that. I don't really know how else to explain it. It's stranded wire, that's 14awg.
