The DD will beat the brakes off that JL any day..

Only two things IHMO that JL makes that can compete with DD (even if it's only for a minute): is the W6's or W7's.

They're both really quite over-priced, but that just goes for all of JL or DD's stuff. But for the price of JL, nothing they make is even worth purchasing until you get to the W6 or W7 line. So I'd say the DD512

yeah they are both up to the price. so ill be getting the cheapest DD but then it will make a good performance

Not even a fair comparison, its an apples to oranges comparison. The W1 is an entry level sub and it performs exactly as such, I have owned the 10w1s and 12w1s and they are not worth the $ brand new, but make for a decent low priced used sub. I have never heard or owned any DD product but even DD's lowest level product will compare to something middle to upper end of JL.

I wouldnt ever spend a dime for anything made by JL, my preferance of course.I Think you get little for your money, and paying for that JL advertised logo.Id run Lanzar Max pro cheapies before id put JL in any of my vehicles.I feel the same about Rockford Fosgate(Thanks for bringing in the safe sound act and FKN up the Car audio world up),and MTX.You need to do some home work and compare specs with and choose the best for your money.Quote(I say Lanzar due to using, and performed flawlessly on a mean machine 99 for a pair of tens, and bang to this day for my tight budget at the time..$80 shipped for the pair!)Dont just go buy something just because everyonelse has it,..take your time, and get youre moneys worth, and put the rest in your gas tank/buy the kids ice cream
