Which components to buy?????

I have picked out a few component sets to buy. but i cant decided on which set so maybe u guys can help me out. The sets are a Phoenix Gold 6.5 r comp set, a Audiobahn abc600t comp set, and a kicker k65.2 comp. set. All of these are in my price rang of about 100 bucks. Right now i have a mempis amp and it is 35 watts rms and im soon selling it and getting a kicker amp which is 75 watts rms.

you can get the pg for about 55 bucks....but the only thing i know about any is that the PGs are loud off a hu...im sure they would be louder amped but i have never heard them amped, but off a hu, they are loud for the price.

I was given a comp set of audiobahn. they dont really sound all that great. they are way over rated too. they said they could handel over 100 and compared to my alpine type r's which are rated at 70, they sounded not too rich and full like the alpine's just to give you a heads up.

you could also look into alpine type s which is around your same budget on ebay. they sound good of a head unit too.

i am going to be putting them on an amp. the amp i have right now is a memphis 35x2 rms and if i can sell it im goign to get a kicker kx200.2

but i also want a set of comps. that have clear crossovers so when i mount them with my amps and dis. blocks it looks nice.

the PG r's are not gonna be that great, just a really big upgrad from the stock speakers....they dont come w/ xovers either, just a bass blocker for the tweet. i cant vouch for the quarts or the kickers not having heard either one. the pgs would be the cheap route to go.....i would think that the quarts would sound the best for bottom line out of pg, kicker and quart.

the quarts will sound better that the pg's but as for the kickers i dont know. I'd look int quarts discus line since you want clear xovers and they quality of the sound should be great since its a well know german disign.

i dont have stock. i have infinity kappa's but there not a comp set just a set of 5x7's and i took of the tweeter and put on a set of planet video tweeters with bass blockers. but i just wanted to upgrade and get soemthign that sounds better and that is a real comp set and not somethign home made like i have.

I wouldnt look into the pg octane r as they are just the entry level, and arent their best. Take a look at the octane zrs, which are a big stepup in quality. And they are still in your budget range.

ya that is the ones i wanted not the r's lol i put down the wrong thing. but i have it decided between the zr's and the mb quarts which ones would be better. thanxs alot guys

i have the mb quart reference series components, model up from the discus line/ highs sound great but mids lack.
