Which Component Set is Better?

^^ I haven't, I don't have a place to listen to any brands like CDT or Focal etc. But at this rate I'll never buy anything lol. I think I'll go with the the CDTs, they seem pretty highly recommended from various people I have talked to.

the cdt is ok,

the tweeters are bright & can be harsh, the mid doesn't have much midbass.

with the ID's the tweeter isn't aS HASRH & you'll get plenty of midbass.

with hertz's is more of a well balanced comp set, tweeters is bright, but the mid is a lot more smoother then the cdt's.

I'm useing CDT es62i mids 2009, which is in a different class then the lower lines that your'e looking into.

I have the drt25 & es010 tweeters which i really think can be harsh to my ears.

i dont use there tweeters any more.

Rainbow speakers are really nice as well.

i know many guys on this forum love cdt, but you should ask more of how there set up is,

what i'm tring to say is ask questions from Sound Quality guys about good speakers.

there are few of use around here which can help you find a good to best speaker for your budget.

Well I don't know it seems that everything I come up with someone says "dont get that...". First I was looking at MB Quartz, then I was going to get Focals, now I am wanting CDT, you are the first person to say not go with the CDTs, so I just don't know. I've been looking at speakers for a while...I'm ready to buy something.

you might wanna check your install... CDT tweets are far from harsh, and actually can be too mellow sometimes... also seal off your doors then youll have mid bass, ive actually pulled the screws on my driver doors mid bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hey basebalz13

my doors are sealed, i do know how to install speakers.

cdt's tweeters take lots of EQing to get them to sound right, which i dont like doing.

hey KME- I think the es mids are good sounding,

most of CDT products are made by Vifa & or Peerless, which if you where to go active it would be cheaper & can sound much better then most comps sets on the market.

I think for the money your'e looking to spend you cant go wrong with these Rainbows

http://www.woofersetc.com/p7049/SLC-26525-Kick-NG--Rainbow-SLC-NG-65"-2Way-Component-System.htm

these have good midbass response, tweeters is nice as well.

these have a smoother midrange, the tweeters is nice as well.

Yes I've listen to each of these comp sets
