well im looking to upgrade m center speaker, right now its just the one that came with the onkyo htib, i replaced the fronts with the insignia 6.5" bookshelfs, im almost finished with my TC2000 12 sub and ep2500, just need to put one more piece on the box

so i need a new center, problem is i cant use ones that are tall with 6.5" mids, 5 1/4's are cutting it close, ive looked at a few like the

kef Q2c because it will match looks with the bookshelfs

http://www.amazon.com/KEF-iQ2C-Chann...648233&sr=1-27

what else is there? i dont really want to spend over 200, but that kef looks sexy mounted coaxial

im not a super audiophile, so take that into effect

thanks guys

You want a center that's timbre-matched with the rest of the fronts, using the same drivers, crossover points/slopes...so whatever you end up with, I'd upgrade the right and left too.

well it'll be a while before then

but which would be the better one, i probably care a little more about looks than sounds, which is bad, but im sure they all sound decent

the kef looks the best, i really want it black to match

well now its probably between the parqadigm cienma 110c and definitive technology procenter1000

i can get paradigm for little cheaper, and ill probably get matching fronts soon

i listened to the definitives at a local place, sounded good, they also have the paradigm, just was hooked up

the definitive comes in gloss black whihc is a plus

even listening i probably wont be able to decide on my own which is pityful //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

well i went back and listened to them, the paradigm set and the definitive set, definitive's blew them out of the water, the paradigms plain sucked

so im gonna be getting the center tomorrow andthe 2 fronts christmas

it surprised me how much the definitives were better

i think the dual 4 1/2" cnter will be good enough for my bedroom, but the dual 5 1/4 inch one was right below it, but i think its too tall, but i can swap them out
