WHICH CELL CARRIER??alltel is garb

on friday night my phone was shattered into pieces.

went into alltel on saturday and they said to replace my razer is $270, i didnt have insurance, so i yelled at em and said they have the worst service and roam everywhere and that their phones are overpriced and service plans the most expensive. been with alltel for 14 months.

i am on a family plan. its for me, ,my bro and my mom and just want to say fuhhhk it and leave it without finishing the contract on my end. i asked my mom, whose ok with me canceling my number with alltel but still paying for it until the contracts over. it's either that or paying a big termination fee.

my moms ok with me doing that as long as i pay for my new plan.

so which carrier should i go to? everyone here has got verizon, but do any of you know of any good promotions for new contracts right now?

Nextel is decent, I never get any dropped calls, and my bill is pretty fair. I had Cingular before, and that was alright, too.

You shouldn't have yelled at the people that work at alltel just because your phone got shattered into pieces its not their fault. But to answer your question, I think it depends on what kind of phone you want. I'm thinking of switching to AT&T because I want the Tilt phone.

I have Nextel/Sprint right now, and I can't wait until my contract is up. I am going to be switching to Verizon when the time comes.

I have Sprint and haven't had many problems. Their customer service could always be better but who's couldn't. I got on their SERO plan and pay $80 for 2 line with pretty much unlimited everything.

Same here .. I'm currently on the Sprint Sero plan. i pay about 40$ a month. havent had a problem with Sprint but am choosing to switch carriers in the future. Reason why i would wanna switch carriers? So i could use the phone out of the U.S. When i go visit Hong Kong again, I could just take out my simcard in my U.S phone and switch in a prepaid sim card.

so yesterday i go in alltel again and my friend jerod's brother is working there!

he transferred my mom's phone insurance to my number for 2 minutes and sent the claim to their insurance dept and i got a v9m right there activated in 5 minutes. 50 bucks for it oh yuup
