im wondering what capacitor i need for my set up. i hhave two 12" subwoofers in a sealed box, they put out 400w rms each. how many farads do i need for 800w rms?

you really dont NEED any but if you want one to make sure your lights wont dim then you will only need a 1 farad cap normally itss 1 farad for every 1000 watts at least thats what i've been told

well my headlights dim and and my volt guage starts to fall unless im on the throttle. im just following advice given to me, if you have a better solution im all ears.

do the big 3 definitely get a capacitor i'd say a 1.5 farad should do the trick but to be on the safe side you might as well get a 2 farad if that doesn't work then up grade your wires/fuses and then your alternator

actually i have two kicker comp vr's, i know they arent the best or most expensive but they satisfy my needs. im not looking for competition sound, just some decent bass. also if your not going to contribute in a positive way, keep your dumb *** comments to yourself you ****ing idiot.

dont run a cap...

do the big 3, that should fix your problem, if not look into a bigger bat, a cap will make your headlights stop dimming but doing your big 3 will probably give you a better fix then a cap,and a battery will be way better then a cap.

I got a kenetik "800" battery.

its the same size as a motorcycle battery. nice and small.

it holds more power than you could think possible.

IT IS A ZILLION TIMES BETTER THAN A CAP.
