Which Blu-Ray player?

I bought the Samsung the other day and so far it has worked great. It matches my Samsung TV and the remote controls both the blu-ray and the TV.

Ok, I think I have it between the Toshiba BDX2000, Samsung BD-P1600 and the Panasonic DMP-BD60. They all look good and can be had for good prices, so I will go look at Best Buy tomorrow and see what looks good.

I personally have the Samsung BD-P1600 because it came with my Samsung when I bought it but in all honesty I use the PS3 for all my purchased Blu-Rays. Unless the PS3 is just out of your budget I wouldn't rule it out since it's able to do AOT more then any of the Blu-Ray players you listed and well worth the extra money it would cost. I've never seen or used another Blu-Ray player so I don't have anything to compare it to but the Samsung is a really nice player.

I bought the Toshiba from Best Buy. I wanted the warranty at this point, still new enough that some players are having problems, just makes me feel better for $20. It seems like a nice and solid unit, I do have 2 gripes with it however, like the Samsung BD-P1600 it has a flip down front, however this one doesn't flip back up when the disc tray closes. The second is that FW upgrades have to be done via disc, it doesn't connect to the internet for them itself like the Samsung. Other than that it seems solid and even on my 26" Insignia 720P LCD you can definitely tell the picture difference.

I am considering returning it for the Samsung BD-P1600 for teh few extra features which that has, not sure yet though as it is a $20 difference.
